About the Sage History Site

This part of the Sage History site supports students in History 121 and 122. As I teach these courses every semester, and because many students do not complete the course until the end of the extension period, I frequently have students in two courses using the same materials at the same time. This makes revising and updating material challenging; it means that I sometimes have to change links while a site is being used.

All web sites are “works in progress,” and they are constantly changing. In making changes, I do everything possible to see to it at all links are updated and are still working when I have completed making modifications. This means, however, that if you have some pages bookmarked, those bookmarks may no longer work since they direct you to the previous location of a page which may have been moved. If you go back to the basic syllabus, assignments and topics pages, all links should work. You can then reset your favorites or bookmarks.

I have always solicited assistance and help from students in maintaining the quality of this web site. I am always grateful for students who point out any errors on the site, including broken links, typographical errors, or anything else that seems unclear. If you find any thing in this site that you think needs to be addressed, please e-mail me. If you are referring to broken links, I need to know the page from which the links do not work. You can give me the page this by placing your cursor in the address and bar at the top of the linking page, select and copy it, and paste the link into your e-mail message. Or, you can simply tell me the name of the page on which you found a broken link.

For students who offer that kind of assistance I enhance their grade at the end of the course as I deem appropriate. With your help this site should continue to be useful to History students and faculty.

Thank you.
